Hearthside - The House That Love Built

ABOUT US

Who We Are

Friends of Hearthside, Inc. is an all-volunteer organization formed in 2001 to breathe life back into Lincoln’s historic landmark, Hearthside. The organization was granted nonprofit, 501(c)(3) status in 2002, allowing for tax deductible contributions and the ability to apply for grants.

The volunteers of Friends of Hearthside are committed as its stewards to insuring that Hearthside is made available to the public on a regular basis. Our volunteers are both female and male and range in age from 12 to 84. From professionals, to stay-at-home moms, to kids doing community service, to retirees…everyone has some special skill or interest to offer to the group effort. While many come from Lincoln, we welcome volunteers from other communities as well.

Our Mission

The mission of Friends of Hearthside, Inc. is to promote the historical significance of this landmark as well as the cultural heritage of Lincoln and the Great Road Historic District. Our goal is to generate funds for the maintenance and restoration of the house so that it may be enjoyed by present and future generations. This will be accomplished through special events, gift shop sales, house rentals, and other fundraising. In October 2001, the group formally incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization.
