ANNUAL TRADITIONAL TEA SCHEDULED FOR MAY 1ST

It’s Tea Time again at Hearthside! The 5 th Annual Traditional Afternoon Tea will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2005. Spend your May Day by stepping back to a bygone era to an elegant afternoon enjoying relaxing conversation, delectable tidbits and tea, all served in the ambience of this historic landmark. Learn about the traditions of the 19 th century while experiencing all that a Traditional Tea includes, such as delicate lace and tea cups, sumptuous tea sandwiches, pastries, and chocolate dipped fruit, and of course, a variety of teas. And don’t forget the hat (and even gloves!), as prizes will be awarded for the “Most Beautiful” and “Most Unusual” hats at each seating. Tours of the mansion will be held at the conclusion of the Tea. The Hearthside Gift Shop will feature items for spring, for tea lovers, vintage items and Hearthside shirts, cards, mouse pads, and ornaments.

Limited seating is available at two seatings: 1:00-2:30 p.m. or 3:00-4:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.00 each and may be purchased beginning April 1 st by calling Pat Campellone at 401-722-2925. The Afternoon Tea has become a signature event for Hearthside and sells out quickly so be sure to get your tickets early.
