MEMBERSHIP AND SUPPORTSupport Hearthside Friends of Hearthside, Inc. is a private, all volunteer organization. While the house is owned by the Town of Lincoln, there are few resources available for the tremendous amount of upkeep that a historic home requires. Therefore, we rely on contributions from members and friends to support our work. This support is critical to continue to offer educational programs and tours to the public and to provide ongoing restoration and maintenance. New members are always welcomed. By becoming a member, you can be a part of helping support the preservation of Hearthside and share in the important development of its role in telling the history of Lincoln and the Blackstone Valley. Various levels of support make membership in the organization available to anyone. No matter the size or type, all gifts are meaningful and provide important support for our mission. Simply complete the membership form along with payment to become a Friend of Hearthside. A quarterly newsletter and discounts to events and the gift shop are part of the benefits you receive with your membership. The work of Friends of Hearthside is carried out entirely by volunteers serving on several different committees, such as event planning and execution, house preservation and repairs, landscape beautification, publicity and promotion, fundraising, education, tour guides, etc. This allows participation in areas where one would feel most useful and comfortable. Just contact us to express your area of interest. The 7-member Board of Directors provides oversight of the organization and conducts fundraising efforts for the maintenance and preservation of the house. Donations to the house are always welcome. Many 19 th century items have already been generously donated or placed on loan for display in the house. All donations and contributions are tax deductible. Check out our wish list for donations to see if you may have something that we could use. Make a donation to Hearthside through PayPal For more information, contact: Mrs. Kathy Hartley |
