Hearthside - The House That Love Built

2007 EVENTS TO FEATURE CIVIL WAR RE-ENACTMENT

The Civil War re-enactors are returning to Lincoln once again this year for the Battle of Chase Farm, which will take place during the weekend of September 15 th. This event will be a main feature of our year’s activities. This large scale event includes re-enactors from throughout New England who set up camp in the picturesque meadows of the Chase Farm Park and conduct battle scenes on both days of the event. Hearthside plays an important role as the site of the field hospital for the wounded soldiers.

In addition to the Civil War Re-enactment, some of Hearthsiden’s other most popular events are back again, such as the Traditional Afternoon Tea,  the Fall Festival of Traditional Crafts, and a Victorian Christmas.  New this year are an American Girl Tea, a weekend-long event of blacksmithing demonstrations by the New England Blacksmith’s Association, and Living History Day with Civil War Re-enactors.  Regular Open Houses and other smaller scale events are planned throughout the year.  Be sure to check back as new events may be added throughout the year.  Click here for the full schedule.
