Hearthside - The House That Love Built

Toasting Hearthside’s 200th at History Uncorked!
Sept. 10th

History Uncorked! brought the community together to raise a glass, and share some wonderful food, to Hearthside in celebration of its 200th anniversary. The event, held on Friday, September 10, 2010, was a huge success according to all who attended. The location at nearby St. Basil's Event Center was superb, the food was simply outstanding both in quantity and quality, the wine selection most impressive, and the auction and prizes were certainly varied and affordable. A little bit of lottery fun was added to hark back to Hearthside being built with lottery winnings. Each guest received a “Hearthside Lottery Ticket” and was entered to win a basket filled with everything “Hearthside” including a VIP pass for entry into all our events for the next year. Along with this custom ticket/bookmark, everyone received a beautiful keepsake booklet to take home featuring the history of Hearthside. This first major fundraiser for Hearthside will provide funds for our Capital Improvement Fund, set up to assist with essential restoration needs.

Hearthside also received a number of citations from the U.S. Senate, Governor's Office, State Senate and House of Representatives to honor its 200th.
