Antiques Fair Draws Antique Lovers from Near and Far

Over 300 antique lovers, young and old, flocked to the Hearthside Annual Antiques Fair on Sunday, August 8th searching out treasures to add to their collection, or just to browse. All sorts of collectibles, from Rhode Island memorabilia to oil lamps and farm tools, to jewelry and vintage clothing, to fine china and paintings…there was something of interest for everyone.

Visitors also had the opportunity to tour through the entire house and shop in the Hearthside Gift Shop. On such a beautiful summer day, no one wanted to leave so many took the opportunity to grab a hot dog and drink and sit in the shade while watching the blacksmith and wheelwright work their craft to the delight of onlookers.

With two successful antique events this summer…the Antique Appraisal Day in June and the Antiques Fair in August….it’s safe to say that antiques are as popular as ever in this neck of the woods!
