Grant Received to Supplement Sign ProjectA new identity sign that is being designed for Hearthside will get a boost of a $1,000 grant. The grant, sponsored by Rep. Mary Ann Shallcross Smith, was received from the RI House of Representatives. Through a grant received earlier this year from the John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, a series of identify and wayfinder signs are being designed to help inform and direct visitors to the Great Road Historic District. One of those signs will be a custom-designed sign for Hearthside, which will announce openings, upcoming events and contact information. This grant will provide for the installation of lighting for the sign and to further enhance the grounds with landscape lighting in the driveway area for safety purposes. |
