Hearthside - The House That Love Built

2010 Hearthside Season Begins April 10th

The 2010 Season at Hearthside kicks off with an Open House on Saturday, April 10th. Hearthside will be open between 1:00-4:00 p.m., and visitors are invited to take a tour given by one of our docents in period costume. These guided tours take about 45 minutes as guests are brought through the entire house.

During this 200th anniversary year, special exhibits will be on display to commemorate the significant history and the different families who have lived there. In 1904, Hearthside was selected as a model for the World’s Fair held in St. Louis. This model was used for the Rhode Island State Building, and it was considered one of the most elaborate of all the states.

The last tour will be given at 3:30 p.m. Admission is $4 per adult and children under 16 are free.
