It’s Time for Tea at HearthsideMark your calendar for Hearthside’s annual spring teas! By popular demand once again, Friends of Hearthside will offer two afternoon teas-one designed especially for young girls on Sunday, May 2nd, and the other a Traditional Afternoon Tea on Saturday, May 8th. Both offer a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the beauty of early spring flowers, delicate lace and dainty teacups, and some scrumptious finger sandwiches and pastries...all in the elegant atmosphere of this magnificent historic home. On May 2nd, the American Girl Doll Tea is a special event for young girls, ages 5-10, to attend a tea with their mothers and grandmothers and bring their dolls for a delightful afternoon of tea, lemonade, elegantly prepared miniature sandwiches and sweets, all served according to proper Victorian etiquette. The Traditional Afternoon Tea on May 8th offers a tranquil setting to enjoy Mother’s Day and avoid the restaurant crowds on Mother’s Day. Return to the gentle splendor of a bygone era to discover the rich history and traditions of Afternoon Tea while enjoying fine conversation and relaxation in this lovely setting. Bring your mother, grandmother, or just enjoy with a group of friends. It’s the perfect opportunity to get dressed up and even wear a fancy hat! Tickets for both events will become available in April. Watch the website, newspapers and of course, Facebook, for an announcement. |
