What’s It Worth? Bring Your Antiques to Hearthside’s Antique Appraisal Day June 26thEver wonder what that unusual vase that belonged to your great-grandmother is worth? How about that old Tiffany lamp? Is it real or is it a reproduction? On Saturday, June 26th, nationally-renowned antiques expert, author and appraiser Paul Royka will be at Hearthside for Antique Appraisal Day. Come learn more about your antiquities and their worth. It promises to have all the intrigue and excitement of watching a similar event on TV, but even better because it’s live and involves your antiques and your neighbors. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The cost is $10 for one item or $25 for three items. Advance registration is encouraged to ensure that you’ll have the opportunity to have your items reviewed. Bring artwork, paintings, Americana, Antiques, Art glass, bronzes, ceramics, clocks, dolls and toys, gold coins, pottery and more! In addition to the appraisal event being held in the drawing room, the entire house will be open for touring, with costumed interpreters on hand to provide the history of the home. The Hearthside Gift Shop will also be open. All proceeds from this event will benefit Hearthside! Formerly an appraiser on the PBS series, Antiques Roadshow, Paul Royka has been featured in numerous publications and TV shows. At the young age of 25, he joined Skinner, Inc., the 4th largest auction house in the U.S., to appraise, auction and catalogue fine art and antiques. Early in its development, he transitioned to the Internet as an auction consultant, including Amazon.com. Currently, Paul is an appraiser and auctioneer based in central Massachusetts. To reserve your spot at Appraisal Day, please call (401)726-0597. Confirmation will be sent. |
