NEW SIGNS DIRECT TRAVELERS TO GREAT ROAD

New Sign Direct TravelersThere’s something new on the scene as you travel north or south on Route 146 in Lincoln. Now, just before the Breakneck Hill Road exits, there are signs announcing the Great Road Historic District which direct travelers to take that exit, with additional signs on the ramp to point them in the right direction.

Special thanks to State Senator Ed O’Neill who responded to the Friends of Hearthside’s request for a highway sign. In just a few short months, he had worked with the R.I. Department of Transportation, and the signs were constructed and installed in no time.

It’s now much easier for visitors to discover the historic gems along Lincoln’s Great Road.
