New Board Members Elected

Members of Friends of Hearthside elected two new directors to the7-member board at the annual meeting of the organization on November 16, 2005. Elected for a three-year term were Christine Stewart of Lincoln and Patricia St. Germain of Lincoln. Both have been active volunteers with the organization, having organized a membership brochure, a membership campaign, event facilitation and staffing, historical research, and gift shop assistance.

The Board of Directors of Friends of Hearthside has the responsibility for insuring that the organization fulfills its mission to preserve Hearthside and to make it accessible to the public. It is also incumbent upon the board that the organization remain viable and healthy. Decisions regarding the physical structure of Hearthside, the activities held there, fundraising efforts, and any other business of the organization is made with the consideration of the full board, and not done individually. Board members also act as ambassadors to promote the organization.
