Friends of Hearthside Receive Proclamation from Lincoln Town Councilor

Councilman Ron Loparto honored the Friends of Hearthside at the December Town Council meeting with a proclamation. Inscribed on a handsome plaque which will be displayed at Hearthside, the proclamation commended Friends of Hearthside for their hard work in restoring Hearthside and for bringing holiday cheer to the residents of Lincoln with the recent Christmas Carol Celebration and Candlelight Tour.”

Several representatives of Friends of Hearthside were on hand, in full Victorian period costume, to receive the recognition at the meeting. The presentation was captured in a photo that appeared in the Pawtucket Times and televised on local cable TV.

The proclamation reads as follows:

Presented to
Friends of Hearthside

To pay tribute for your delightful “Christmas Carol Celebration and Candlelight Tour”  which brought joy to the residents of Lincoln.

Your passion and hard work in restoring the original beauty of Historic Hearthside on Great Road is to be commended.

I urge all residents of the Town of Lincoln to visit, contribute and support this worthy group.

I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised by their wonderful accomplishments.

Administrations will come and go but the heritage of our town, which you are restoring, will be there for our children, families and residents for generations to come.
