CIVIL WAR REENACTMENT

The armies of the Union(left) and Confederate (right) assemble at Chase Farm.  The re-enactment included nearly 400 re-enactors and 6 mounted cavalry.

Living history demonstrations are a big part of a Civil War Re-enactment, as seen in this campsite outside of Hearthside.  A full course dinner has been prepared over the campfire.

A barn dance provides a welcome respite from the long day of battle and blood.

Friends of Hearthside volunteers were part of the Civil War Re-enactment, as they portrayed the George Barnes family, who lived at Hearthside in 1863.  From left to right are:  Judy Hadley, Sandra Boragine, Joanne Gardner, and Beverly Vincenzi.
