Three Centuries in Three Miles

Each day, thousands of people drive through 300 years of history along Lincoln’s scenic Great Road. At the heart of the Great Road Historic District is Hearthside, one of Rhode Island’s most unusual and treasured historic landmarks. Throughout the year, Hearthside House brings history to life with a busy schedule of unique exhibits and programs, in addition to guided house tours by volunteer interpreters showcasing the lives and times of the families who once called this stone mansion home.

Hearthside is open to the public for tours and special events on specific dates each month from March through December. See our Calendar for this year’s schedule of opening dates. Groups tours may be arranged by appointment.
"One of my favorite historical homes to visit!
There is always a reason to return, the price makes repeat visits possible
and the staff is the friendliest! Just love it here."
